The lounge soon filled with the sound of traditional carols, with many residents joining in and chatting between songs. Several described it as a “lovely afternoon” and said how much they enjoyed spending time together in such a relaxed setting.

The event also included a visit from Maidenhead’s local MP, Joshua Reynolds, who took time to speak with residents and join in the celebrations. His visit was appreciated by those attending and added to the friendly community feel of the afternoon.

Kingfishers Care Home would like to thank Age UK for organising the event and for their ongoing support.

Afternoons like this mean a lot to residents, particularly at this time of year, giving everyone a chance to relax and enjoy being together.
