About Sonya…
I have been a qualified nurse for over 22 years and that includes 18 years’ experience in the Acute and the community in various National HealthCare Service (NHS) across Northwest London. In 2022, I moved into the Nursing Home industry to utilise my broad knowledge and skills in managing chronic conditions, embed Gold Standards in End of life, promote person-centred care.
I initially qualified as a general nurse and went on to further attain other qualifications including Tissue Viability (specialised in managing all types of wounds including cancerous, pressure ulcers and leg ulcers). I have a master’s in health and social Person-Centred Care and a Meta Masters in Behaviour Studies.
I am the Home Manager at Kingfishers Care Home in Bourne End and am honoured to be a part of a diverse, modern, and dynamic management team at Priemer Health Care. I have been working in partnership with the Local Authorities and other professionals in delivering seamless high standard person-centred care in line the local and national regulations. I aim has always been to prevent unplanned hospital admissions and emergency Advanced Care Planning hence I am always thriving to integrate services within the home.
In my spare time I enjoy reading and watching catching documentaries.

We take time to learn resident’s interests and abilities, customising activities that promote mental stimulation, self-esteem and social interaction. Whether enjoying a peaceful stroll in our gardens, taking a trip to the local village or gathering for a film in our cosy cinema room, we’re committed to making every day special.
