Residents get tech savvy with brand new interactive screens at Kingfishers care home

Our residents at Kingfishers Care Home are exploring the brand new addition to the home – the LifeSize Touch Activity Table.

This state-of-the-art interactive technology will be a great addition to the activities and routine of our residents at Kingfishers. The LifeSize Touch was kindly gifted to us by Premium Care Group directors, Robert and Renos.

Let’s get to know the interactive activity table

The LifeSize Touch activity table is an interactive screen that offers a wide range of activities, including puzzles, sensory games, music, and much more, catering to the varied needs and interests of the residents.

Our residents have started exploring the table and learning how to use it to contact their loved ones, watch films, virtually visit new and known places, and more.

We are planning to set up WhatsApp on the LifeSize Touch so that our residents can easily chat with family and friends through messages or video calls. Our activities coordinator is already planning ways in which we can integrate the activity table into our residents’ daily activities and routines.

Our care home manager, Caroline Holdsworth said: “All of us at Kingfishers are thrilled to have the LifeSize Touch at the home and can’t wait to explore it. 

“The activity table is like a ticket to a world of adventure that our residents can enjoy from the comfort of our care home.”

The LifeSize Touch has been designed with the needs of older adults and individuals with varying abilities in mind. The large touchscreen provides a user-friendly interface that is great for care home residents.
