Kingfishers Residents Welcomed by Bourne End Community for Christmas Celebrations
The spirit of Christmas was very much felt in Bourne End this week as residents from Kingfishers Care Home were welcomed by the local community for a festive day at St Peter’s Church.
Residents were invited to a Christmas lunch at the church, where volunteers and local community members had put on a lovely spread. Everyone sat down together, sharing food and conversation and it was clear how much residents enjoyed being there and feeling part of the day.

After lunch, the group gathered for a Christmas service at the church, which offered a peaceful moment to pause and reflect, and residents enjoyed sharing this part of the day with others from the local community.

Many spoke afterwards about how kind and thoughtful the welcome had been. Residents and carers from Kingfishers were grateful for the time, care and generosity shown throughout the day and for the opportunity to feel so included at such a special time of year.
The visit was a meaningful way to spend a Christmas outing and a lovely reminder of how important it is for residents to feel connected to the wider Bourne End community.
